Recap

The Los Alamitos Griffins kicked off their league season against the Fountain Valley Barons on Friday. Both teams gave it their all and competed fiercely for four quarters. When the dust settled, the Griffins emerged victorious, with a final score of 49 to 10. The game featured impressive performances from several players. In his first game of the season, Hayden E caught two touchdown passes from Alonzo Esparza,  while Jackson Ragues shone on defense during his season debut. Los Al’s quarterback stole the show, completing 14 out of 15 passes for 228 yards and 5 touchdowns. The young man proved to be unstoppable. Furthermore, one of Los Al’s promising defensive backs sealed the victory with an interception returned for a touchdown. The Barons put up a valiant fight, but in the end, it wasn’t quite enough. Moving forward, Los Al will head into the second week of the Sunset League, where they will face New Port Harbor High School on Friday at 7 PM. The game will take place at Westminster High School and will serve as Los Al’s Homecoming Game. Don’t forget to wear black attire to show your support!
